Who is responsible for appraising the performance of the chairman?

The non-executive directors, led by the senior independent director, should be responsible for performing evaluation of the chairman, taking into account the views of the executive directors.

Must non-executive directors be appraised?
All directors of companies under the UK's Corporate Governance Code should be appraised annually. It is good practice for directors of all companies to be appraised annually.
