The GROW model is a simple structure for moving from goals to actions.
However, there is often a difference between deciding what to do and actually doing it – consistently.
Setting well formed outcomes is an eight step process to ensure that you consider all the implications of a decision and deal effectively with anything that might stop you from succeeding.
If you start to use the setting well formed outcomes questions, you will soon install them in your brain. In particular, you will begin to notice when statements and activities are not well formed, and be able to challenge them.

Show it to your colleagues and use it when delegating – you will find it very useful in getting people to do things for you!
Keep these key questions in mind: -
What do I/we/you really want?
Is it within my/our/your control
What might stop me/us/you?
What is the first thing that I/we/you must do now?
They are particularly useful interventions for controlling discussion at meetings – or making sure they are followed up by actions.
