In Issue 168 of CorporateCoach I discussed legacy statements and asked for some more suggestions from readers. Here are the ones I received: -
Richard:
Here is my legacy statement "He made a difference to his world!"
A great question for all of us to consider. I started using it in a GE Career/Life Planning Workshop 30 years ago and I have update my thoughts periodically ever since.
Best regards,

P.S. I love your coaching newsletter. Great practical insights and coaching tips!
Richard:
With regard to the subject of death as a motivator in life, the one I like goes as follows, "there will be two dates on your gravestone and all your friends will see read 'em but the only thing that really matters is the little dash between 'em".
I do not know where I came across this or who to attribute it to.
Kind regards
Tim - Tim Watts Associates
Richard:
Assalamu alaikom. I always love to read your article and amog them, this is the best... Yes we always think that someday we gonna meet the maker but what is importnt we have shared our lives to those in need. If I were to answer my message when i die, I wanted this statement "I tried to make a difference to others but hours are short..."
Thank you.

The parable of the cautious man
There was a very cautious man
who never laughed or cried.
He never risked,he never lost,
he never won,nor tried.
And when he one day passed away,
his insurance was denied.
For since he never really lived,
they claimed he never died!
