Have you ever suffered death by PowerPoint? Slide after slide of bullet points which the presenter then reads to you (as if you couldn't read!)...
One of the reasons we do not use Power Point in 90 Minute Learning is because of the state that people go into when they come into a room and see a screen and projector. For many business people those items are now anchored to unresourceful and unhelpful states for learning.
So it is always refreshing to come across people who use PowerPoint in a way that does not induce these states. One such person is the charismatic CEO of Apple Computers, Steve Jobs.
If you'd like a quick masterclass in how to structure your next set of slides then watch the keynote address he gave at the WorldWide Developers Conference.
Ignore the content. Watch the slides. Watch and learn how he can hold the audience enthralled for nearly an hour with an empty stage and some slides. Of course, he is not using the MS product but Apple's own Keynote package – the lessons though are completely transferable.
I look forward to reading your comments...
