First thoughts from CoachVille

At the end of the CoachVille conference this week I suppose it was inevitable that people would ask me what I had found most interesting. In fact, it was difficult to answer such questions until I have had time to go through my notes and reflected on what it was all about. After all, for four days we were served great riches.

So, first impressions. I confirm my impression form last year the CoachVille under CEO Dave Buck is really going places and that it is a major leader in the coaching world. Within CoachVille coaching is changing and growing.

My second observation is how many major players in the world are choosing to associate with CoachVille. Partly this is because they are impressed by what is happening, but also because they recognise that through CoachVille they can move forward their own missions through an association with this community.

Last year Lance Secretan was invited to give a keynote speech. Since then he has worked closely with CoachVille to develop new programmes so that his Higher Ground Leadership can be taken out into wider worlds than he could achieve through his own consultancy alone.

Dr Ivan Misner, founder of Business Network International (BNI), was a speaker this year and is also the 'Visionary' for the Social Capital Community. Will Arntz the director of the film "What the Bleep Do We Know?" flew in from Australia and Jack Canfield, co-creator of the Chicken Soup for the Soul series not only added the conference to a long book signing trip away from home but attended the whole conference as a delegate.

Television personality Rhonda Britten, who has had reality coaching programmes on major channels in both the USA and UK chose to speak and to commit herself to working closely with CoachVille in the future.

With 70,000 members CoachVille is not only the largest coaching community with a strategy for a global presence, but it is the thought leader too.
