The three things you will most need when you start
Our experience when starting in business on our own was that
there were three things we really needed.
- The biggest challenge was that there was nobody
to talk to. In your early days, you will find that
self-employment is lonely. Just at the time when you need
lots of advice and someone to bounce ideas off, there is
no-one there. Later, of course, you build up a personal
network and even get social support from your clients.
- Then of course, there were lots of things we needed
to learn. You will need to find out how to set up a
business, how to set up your office, what to buy and where; and
all the new skills and attitudes of your new role. You may be
surprised what a difference your new identity will make –
are you suddenly an expert, or 'trade'? How should you behave?
- Finally, there was the challenge of finding work.
Many people start well, calling on their existing network. It
might look easy, but soon you run out of contacts. How do you
go about building a new business network? And what should you
charge? You might get a shock; and you are sure to over estimate
the number of fee earning days in the year.

NLP based training
NLP is the study of human excellence, with a focus on communication and
change – fundamentals of effective consulting.
Our NLP practitioner programme is like no other; it has a practical sales
emphasis and will be built around your own 'Hero's Journey', with a series
of goals to achieve – and guardians and mentors along the way.
It is the first NLP practitioner certificate programme in the world
to focus on consultancy skills. Although it follows the standard
NLP practitioner syllabus there is a strong focus on modelling successful
consultancy, coaching and training practices. You will be required
to act as a consultant throughout, with individuals and the group
taking responsibility for directing the learning. In addition, there
is a recommended course of business reading to ensure that you have
a sound technical grounding for your new career.
The programme covers a wide range of content, demonstrating application
of skills to sales, consultancy, facilitation, executive coaching
and training. The style of the programme is very integrated, with
continuous focus on building a powerful personal business model
using the neurological levels.
The training features demonstrations and delivery, whole group
coaching and small group coaching. We will help you develop your
own sales and marketing strategy and give you a set of tools and
resources to support you in your business.
In addition to the 24 days training, there are three sales
and marketing workshops and 14 coaching sessions to support
you as you build your new business. At the end, successful
participants will be awarded an NLP practitioner certificate
and will be registered with the Registry of Accelerated Trainers.
