Perry Burns is skilled in sales, developmental coaching, negotiation, presentation and facilitation. He has negotiated at senior level in companies of all sizes and has worked with both large and small teams as a coach and mentor. His particular areas of expertise are Telecommunications, IT and finance.

A creative business development expert with a record of achievement in planning successful sales & marketing strategies, identifying customer needs, directing product development, coaching teams and successfully leading major sales campaigns.

He started his career with NCR where he completed his training in Sales and marketing, specialising in the General Retail, Oil and Hospitality sectors.

Moving into the financial sector, he worked as a regional sales manager for US Leasing Ltd where he used his computer knowledge to develop leasing plans for a number of major computer manufacturers including Wang and later Tandy and Wordplex.

His technology expertise was further refined during a brief spell with Atlantic Computers PLC. On leaving Atlantic, Perry worked in the computer brokerage business for a short while before joining Pallas Systems (a subsidiary of SG Warburg) to run the ICL leasing programme Exchange Hire. Perry was promoted to his first Board appointment in 1989 and went on to develop a number of strategically important accounts including Sun Microsystems.

Perry left Pallas after their acquisition by GE Capital and then worked for Alcatel telecommunications as Sales Director in their Large Voice Systems unit where he was responsible for the sales of several major communication systems to major UK Companies. When this division was closed, he joined Ernst and Young as Sales Director in the Entrepreneurial Services division and later in the Energy Chemical & Utilities practice. He was promoted in 2000 to be Regional Sales Director responsible for all sales in the London region.

He left Ernst & Young in October 2001 to set up his own sales consultancy practice, Proposal Masters, and joined the Brefi Group as an independent associate in early 2002.

Perry is married with three teenage daughters.
