Abergynolyn, Castell Bere Tyn Y Ddol
A delightful walk over mostly easy terrain with historical and cultural interest in the unspoilt area
south of Cadair Idris.
3to 4 hours,10km,mostly good paths with some rock and mud.
Barmouth, Arthog Falls, Cregennen Lakes
A circular route exploring the Mawddach estuary,and the wild foothill area leading to Cadair Idris.
Option to summit Cadair Idris with an overnight stop or pre arranged transport at the finish.
4 to 6 hours,15km,mainly good paths,some steep ascents,mud in the woods.
Cadair Idris extension
Rough and stony track exposed in places.
3 to 4 hours ,9km. Arrange transport back to Barmouth.
Capel Curig and Moel Siabod
A varied walk exploring river,forest and quarry areas with a scramble to summit Moel Siabod.
4 to 5 hours,10km,forest tracks,rocky paths,good rock for an easy scramble with little exposure.
Tanygrisiau, Slate quarries and Cnicht
Exploring the slate quarry areas and summitting Cnicht the Welsh Matterhorn walking in remote terrain
with isolated lakes.
5 to 7 hours, 16 km, rough tracks, steep slopes.
Cadair Idris circuit
Following the famous Milford track from just outside Machynlleth to summit Cadair Idris and
Along the ridge with a steep descent to the valley.
6 to 8 hours 14km, rough tracks, steep slopes.
Diffwys and the goldmines
From ancient woodlands into remote terrain passing the gold pans of yesteryear to a great ridge
With a panoramic view of the Lleyn peninsular and the Snowdon massif. Start at River Mawddach just
outside Dolgellau.
8 to 10 hours 20km. A long day in remote territory.
Roman Steps and the Rhinogs
A chance to follow this ancient track and summit Rhinog Fawr one of the wildest parts
Of North Wales.
6 to 8 hours. Tough and steep tracks 12 km.
Snowdon summit various
From Pen y Pass options to summit via the knife edged( not for the nervous) Crib Goch or
The Pyg track with various scrambles on offer to make a circuit.
8 to 10 hours. Steep and rough stretches.
The Glyders y Garn circuit
A long day from Llyn Ogwen but with fabulous mountain views over the Devils Kitchen to the Carneddau.
See the famous rock formations on the Glyders and the full-on sight of Tryfan. Tough walking and a bit of
scrambling
