Cardiff, Llandaff, Castell Coch.
Walk or bicycle through the heart of Cardiff seeing the old and new and follow the Taff Trail past
Llandaff Cathedral on to the fairy tale Castell Coch.
One way – bicycle 2 hours, walk 4 to 5 hours, 13km on good paths with some road traffic.
Colby, Ludchurch, Amroth
Seashore, ancient woodland, country house, formal gardens, tranquil streams and sleepy villages.
Exploring in south east Pembrokeshire.
4 to 6 hours, 13km, woodland paths, farm tracks muddy in places.
Chepstow and Tintern
An easy paced walk following the banks of the Wye north to Tintern, return on the east side partly on
Offa's Dyke long distance path.
5 to 6 hours, woodland paths, some mud and slippery patches.
Gower linear walk
Mumbles to Rhossili, taking in the best beaches and the spectacular and special Gower coastline.
10 to 12 hours, 35km with some tough stretches.
Abergwesyn common and the Elan Valley
Remote and wild mid Wales, the home of the Red Kite and spectacular lakes and reservoirs.
14 km, 8 to 10 hours.
Preseli Hills
A long day's walk experiencing the flavour of North Pembrokeshie ridges and views to the sea.
8 to 10 hours, 20km. Moorland tracks, some mud.
Pembrokeshire Coastal Path
A variety of walks from a half day to the full walk lasting 2 weeks.
Offa's Dyke Taster
A long weekend from Hay on Wye to Knighton, the best of the middle.
3 days with accommodation or camping.
